What happens when defective cable is found?
When ACI identifies faulty cable, we take the following steps:
Step 1
ACI contacts the cable supplier to invite them to be part of more extensive testing and to assess the scale of the problem.
Step 2
ACI advises the relevant Electrical Safety Office (ESO) of the test findings.
Step 3
The ESO determines next steps. Depending on the nature of the defect, the product may be recalled, or additional protection measures may be introduced at the discretion of the ESO.
